For sixteen years, City Helps, CDC has worked to support and affect the lives of low-income and at-risk youth and young adults. Our objective as a not-for-profit organization is to assist economically disadvantaged, at-risk, and at-home families in enhancing their quality of life. For us, it’s all about enabling young people to make a positive difference in the world. We battle tirelessly throughout Suburban Chicago to protect the integrity and well-being of all those living at-risk and in poverty.
Throughout its existence, City Helps has influenced thousands of youths and young adults between the ages of 11 and 24 in six communities. City Helps is delighted to provide quality services and programs to our local communities, adolescents, and youth through a variety of services and activities.
A City Helps youth worker assists youth in suggesting and organizing events and activities that are of interest to them and their classmates, thereby keeping our program cutting edge, relevant, and realistic for the younger generation. The Youth Committee is responsible for developing a youth-friendly “Youth Resource Guide” to community services and resources.
